Empowering & Promoting Paralegals

Grant Program for Promotion of Voluntary Certification Programs

The Foundation for the Advancement of the Paralegal Profession (the Foundation or FAPP) was incorporated as a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation in 2006.  It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity, whose financial support comes solely from its supporters, donors, and fundraising efforts [click here to learn more about supporting the Foundation].

The Foundation’s mission is to promote and advance the professional and educational standards of paralegal.  The Foundation’s tag line is Empowering & Promoting Paralegals™.

In 2011 FAPP adopted a policy to endorse and support voluntary certification for paralegals.  The Foundation has developed a grant program to support and endorse voluntary certification programs and to provide financial and other assistance to paralegals, paralegal associations, national groups, and non-profit type organizations in the promotion of voluntary certification programs.

Deadlines to apply for a grant to assist with the marketing or promotion of voluntary certification programs are under development.
